Best amp for around $200?

Hey i am going to be getting 2 10" Comp VR, gonna spend about 200 on the amp, whats the best amp you think for about 200, i can get a KX400.1 for that price, and thats what im leaning towards, but willing to look for something else if its gonna be better

Whats watts rms?

the kicker kx 400.1 is 400 x 1 @ 2 ohm

speakers are 300 rms

That amp is great, i own one it runs at 310rms x2 at 4ohm

Oh no, they are wrong power acoustik is a very good amp brand.

Just check ratings on that amp!

a few things i read say that they are overrated

No they definetly aren't overrated, we had my watts rms measured and it was hitting 309.8 watts rms almost right at 310watt rms. To me power acoustik has audio equipment, alot of buddys use PA at competitions and do pretty good.

cool ill look into it, you think its better then a 400.1 kicker class d mono amp?

Kicker is a better brand, but you have two so i would get 2 channel. With that kicker most likely you will get 200watt rms out of each, im just trying to power those subs at what they are rated at.

Thats cool your from west palm beach, my great grandma owns a house there. I have only been there once and what a great place.

they make a kicker kx400.2 but i was told only get the 400.2 if you are running more then 2 subs, that running the subs mono would push them good

yeah West Palm is a great town, alot to do, really good bars

Yeah it will push pretty good, but you want full potential from those.

Well here is that kicker, it only runs at 100watts rms x2 thats really low for that

Its also expensive, that Pa amp has alot of power, i know because i own it and it sounds great. It's also cheap!

I would would order it from here do to sound domain it being on back order it takes awhile to get something on back order.

well id get a jbl600.1 and pound those kickers. its a class d which means more efficient and if your subs are dual 4 they will be at 4 ohm or 1 ohm. jbl runs fine at 1 ohm. it has no ssf so if you run ported be careful.

PM pro-rabbit. He is trying to sell a bunch of American Bass CX1200D's. I just got one from him. They put out 1200 RMS at 1 ohm or 900 RMS at 2 ohms.

Class D power. I think he wants somewhere around 200-225 + shipping.
