I have a 95 Chevy caprice I run a duralast battery for the front of my car an my friend gave a optima yellow top can I run that as a second battery

Just positive from alt or front battery to rear battery positive. Fuse at front battery or alternator and a fuse at the back battery.
Ground to frame in back.
