Where to mount amps?

I have 2012 SRX and I'm trying to find a spot to put amplifiers. Don't want to risk them getting to hot. I was thinking of putting them in the rear storage area. Any good suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, by the way the amps are a dc audio 1.2k and a Kenwood 4 channel.

We also have a 2012 SRX. If I was going to mount amps in the foam storage area, I would purchase one with fans, and install an additional 12-volt fan in the area. Another suggestion is to cut a hole in the cover, large enough to mount a flat grill cover. You would retain the storage area in your hatch area and provide ventilation for the amps. Mounting them on the back of the seats is also an idea.
