Battery Charging Question

When I first installed my batteries, I would run around town with the voltmeter reading 14.4-14.6. Now, when I drive my car the voltmeter only get's up to 14.2. I always leave it on a battery tender when parked. Just curious if I may have damaged a battery or the alternator. Or, is this normal? 2 AGM's with all 1/0.

Heat will make them run lower voltage
