16 awg ok to use?

Bought 16 guage for my mids and tweets and also to extend harness etc, and now I'm wondering if it'll be ok? Shuld I have gone 14? Going to be run on own channels 200rms mids 150 RMS tweeters.

First off, PLEASE tell me you didn't pay $80 for 100 feet of that!

I personally would have gone with thicker wire, but I admittedly run thicker speaker wire than recommended by most others, so that might be a moot point. I don't like to do things twice.

Thank you much appreciated, I was bit worried.. running 4 ohm speakers, just was suggested 14 n could only find 16

I use 14(?) maybe 16 doubled up on 10kw lol unless you're over 4-5kw you can use 16awg with no problem.

14 guage speaker wire on 4k RMS? Didn't know it could handle that, I'm running wire from front doors in my ram to the back, and then using some to extend harness for dsr1 I'm putting in, another member is helping assist me put that in, I appreciate the replies

we get 500 feet of 16 gauge for 43 dollars shipped.

but yeah i've done tests with an ssa apm 1 and different gauges of wire from 18 , 16 ,14, 12 gauge to 8 gauge and legit zero db difference with my old ampere tfe 8k back then.
