Just thought I'd share, lemme know how it looks? Your thoughts?

sealed chamber = 3.3 cubes net

ported chamber = 6.1 cubes net

port area = 110 sq inches

tuned to 47hz

I don't even know if I'm buildin it lol:crazy:, but it would take up most of my trunk completely

The sub is modeled after an MJ18 (shrunk down to a 15" sub size), not entirely sure which 15's I would use in this yet (if I decide to go this way)

Would definitely be an SPL box for the most part I think, and my car peaks around that peak frequency

More efficient (louder)

Also can have very good flat frequency response, by modyfying this one I can get it to be within 3db from ~15hz to ~70hz, but without the 7db boost I'm getting out of this design

its how its designed, just like a ported box can be designed for SQ or for SPL, so can a bandpass, and a bandpass IMO will be able to have a nicer frequency response than ported assuming that's your goal, and will also be able to get louder than ported, if that's your goal, but of course, you sacrifice space for efficiency

It's how you tune it... I have a 4th order for a single 12" Orion H2 and it sounded amazing.
