Audiobahn powering Type R's

What yall think about an Audiobahn a8002t powerin 2 alpine Type R 12''s. Also, would the mono; a800t be any better or worse?

its a good match. I have the same setup. The 12's could handle prolly 700 a piece in the right sealed box, so dont worry.

worry about what? kinda new to this stuff but learnin as im goin. Someone was talkin to me about if i was goin to port my box and i dont think i will, but what would that do if i did

Dont worry about that. I recommend getting 2 Dual 4 ohm 12's and wiring them to a Hifonics BX1000D. Way better than that amp I regret buying my audiobahn amp.

Also, seein its 250 x 1 at 4 ohms, what would happen if you put it up to two like im doin? and then why not 500 x 1 at 2 ohms?

are u looking at the right amp. The A8002T does 400x2 at 2 ohms and 800x1 at 4 ohms. THe BX1000D is a better made amp, doesnt over heat as much, and will put 500 to each sub at 1 ohm.

Alright, yea, i was lookin at it. SO, since it does 1000x1 at one ohm, it means it you spit it to two, at one ohm yuo get 500 to each sub? So then if you split it at 4 ohms like you were sayin at first, that means each sub would only get around 125?? And how does making a mono amp power two subs work like your suggesting. I mean i trust you because i've also seen it, I just dont understand it

Look up wiring diagrams. 2 dual 4 ohm voice coil subs can be wired for a 1 ohm load.
