what if you reverse mounted one sub in the front of the box and did a whale hole port on the top of the box type deal. thatd be cool and you can't see the subs from the top of the box and its tuff to damage the sub that way.

anyway nice build i just wouldnt want the sub to get punched in the face

Funny thing is, I never thought much about protecting the subs. It's me in the truck (alone) >99% of the time. No one over the age of 12 could actually sit back there. The kids like to on occasion, but they know not to touch shit in daddy's truck. The only thing that ever gets put back there is my brief case. Anything else I need to haul goes in the bed (that's what trucks are for).

As for the inverted, whale hole idea, I was trying to keep it pretty basic. Nothing to fancy...very simplistic. I could have downfired the subs I guess. Either way, I'M NOT OVERLY CONCERNED ABOUT DAMAGING THE SUBS.

VERY nice install. Impressive little subs aren't they. I'd like to add 2 more to the GF's car, but she won't give up the trunk space.
