one more thing about 1 ohm load, the current draw excides the 4 ohm by far...without a good electrical system all together its gonna cause problems...

although, if ure getting 2 kw rms,ure prolly gonna have to upgrade anyhow

what amp depends on what subs u get, or vice versa...depending on your listening habbits and the type of music u mostly listen to..

i want the system for rap, plain and simple, i do listen to rock and everything basically, but if i change my music ill just turn down the subs or up depending, right?

by far eh? will of coarse its going to because its 4x as much power on a normal amp

on a regulated amp, like a jbl / jl which does the same power @ 4 and 1 ohm the difference is negligible

if u mostly listen to rap go ported, 2 or 1 ohms final load and how ever big of a sub(s) u can fit in your trunk

im building my own ported enclosure, i know that much, probs tune it anywhere rom 28-34 hertz, but yeah im just concerned about prices, i want to have the cleanest system around, im buying 4 new speakers and amping those as well, along with two 12's and a deck, and i want to spend like 1500-1700 max

why does his listening taste factor into what power he needs?

Rap gets 2kw amps, while rock gets 1kw amps?

You buy an amp to fit the subs, you buy the subwoofer to fit the listening tastes.
