I just had a thought Jeff.hope you get some hits and some local bassheads to help you man, i'd be pissed if my amps didnt make power either.
Your voltage wont start dropping till the battery is running low and the alternator has to charge both the battery and the amp.I just had a thought Jeff.
Whats the chances im not getting output because of power? I mean hell, i only Have 1 battery and a decent sized alternator.
Only reason i discredited this is because my voltage doesn't drop, would think if i had insufficient power, it would be dropping me very low into 11's and 12s.
Is it possible maybe the power isn't there from the start, so the amp has nothing even to pull from?
Or is.my thinking correct. That if.it was trying to pull what wasn't there, my voltage would show that? ?
So are you saying my theory is wrong? Probably not a power issue?Your voltage wont start dropping till the battery is running low and the alternator has to charge both the battery and the amp.
Why dont you make a video walkthrough of your setup from battery to amps and wiring.
Then show voltage and dmm results.

Agreed.I hope u can fix the problem soon, voltage would be a problem if it's dropping. If it had nothing to pull from it wouldn't work at all.
Best way to test this out is invert your sub my mounting it backwards.Agreed.
And the guy i met up with didn't have tools to disconnect his fuse to put my amp in so im still in the dark. He thinks it must to be my box. I mean, if the impedance formula is still accurate in everything environment or situation, im rising from anywhere to 7 to 13 ohms.
I dont see how Thats possible though
I have no phase adjustments on the amp. Also, its a flush mount box with an inner lip. Dont think i can do an inverted mount, would smash the surrounds.Best way to test this out is invert your sub my mounting it backwards.
This will give the box alot more airspace then on the amp do 180 phase.
See how your subs does and if you have air leaking by checking random spots.

If its not possible due to design then out of luck, but purpose is to make the enclosure larger to make it need less power.I have no phase adjustments on the amp. Also, its a flush mount box with an inner lip. Dont think i can do an inverted mount, would smash the surrounds.
If anything, id think the box is too big?
Any other information on severe box rise, and how to reduce it from you guys would be awesome. I dont care what it is that i need to fix or buy. I just want to know what the problem is
Well, the box is fairly new too. The last amp i was running was a T1000. So not really comparable. And yeah i am solid at 1 ohm before rise.If I remember correctly u just switch amps not boxes right? Then the box can't be the issue, just unhook the speaker wire from the amp and read the ohm load not hooked up to the amp. Sorry if this has been done but it should give u a good idea of what ur amp is running at
I can't imagine a few leaks making rise that bad. I just got a box in from a guy. It leaks every where, BAD, every seam, and it still only goes from 1 ohm, to 2.4 ohms rise ....well, wait, that's 1.4 ohms rise, for one 15" sub. Don't you have 4 subs FML ?? that could possibly get you like 5.6 ohms rise I guess ....hmmmm......you could be onto something there actually ....Best way to test this out is invert your sub my mounting it backwards.

Just two. 9512's.I can't imagine a few leaks making rise that bad. I just got a box in from a guy. Smaller boxes reduce rise so long as the subs specs account for it.Just two. 9512's.
I did remember something last night: before i installed this box, i was also running the T1000 to a different woofer. Just 1000 watts. And my voltage would drop into the high 12's, still had dimming lights. This is with the electrical listed in sig.
Then, i get the new woofers, install them in the new box using same T1000. NOW all of a sudden i get little to no voltage fluctuation. I think at the time, sweet , it just must be a super efficient box.
Later on, pick up a few new amps and notice on top of little to no voltage drop, my output is weak as F.
Whats it all mean?
If Its the box, does it need to be smaller or bigger to reduce rise? I need tips
