Alty options.

I have the factory 90A alt in my '98 Dakota. A 136A alty was an option for higher equipped models, I'm thinking I could pick one up fairly cheap if I can find one at a junkyard.

What would be more reliable though; that, or getting my current alt. rewound to a 140A or so? I figure they will probably be around the same price point.

I think getting one rewound would be more expensive. Plus since they make one for your ride thats higher it has to be reliable
