the type x has i belive 250 watts more rms and i also think round woofers sound alot better, i had a 15 L7 and it sounded ok but my buddy's 12 cvx sounded alot better, all in the same vehicle..just different boxes. But personally I'd go with the type x.

The L7 sounds like shit but it gets loud.

The type X sounds good and can still get loud.

I'd do the type X.

I'd rather have the L7. Just like any other sub they dont have to sound like crap.

Are these subs a big improvement over the type x? Also, what do you prefer over the first two?
