Anyone have any info on the new Alpine Type X Series (Amp, Subwoofer, and Component speakers) from CES 2017. They will be released in May and maybe thinking of getting the components

Hahahahhaa its the same sub but they had to actually give a proper rating because the sub wasnt really a 1000 rms sub to begin with.

I would like to know more about the sub...28mm Xmax and 750rms....I wonder mostly about the motor, the Type Xv2 has a nice motor/coil setup...I'm curious what, if anything, they changed.

They probably don't S U C K completely or anything.

I still hate Alpine's little speaker plugs for their amps! One BAD design and implementation decision!!

the new type X is the only thing i'd try from alpine. The type R seems like the same stuff.

I was originally looking for the old type X components but it was very hard to find them so I was jsut gonna do the Type Rs but since they made the Type X again and will be released in April/May do you think the new Type X components is worth getting over the new Type Rs?

I think for $500 the X won't be to bad. If that's how much them end up costing.

Not much info in the video on the sub. But 28mm, dual shorting ring, spaced spider for linearity....these all seem like positives. Wonder what the price tag is
