Noob dropping 5k on new system, need help

I've got 2 Orion 4 ohm HCCAs 12" 5,000 watt speakers, 2 XS 3100 batteries powered by 2 audiopipe 3000/1 amps with 0 gauge or thicker wire wireing everything together being put I to the trunk of a 99 Toyota camery. I read the manual on the different types of boxes for these speakers and I i a sealed box would work to make them sound more musical. The shop installing them recommended a ported enclosure. I read that a ported enclosure produces a spike in the bass response at a certain frequency making the subs sound better than their supposed to at that FR, but at the expense of rest of the frequencies. I would like a flat response across the bass frequency spectrum. Also can a removable port be installed into a sealed box? Also how much spl and db would a system like this create. I sat in one of the reps explorer who coincidently had 2 HCCAs in a custom made box built for a Toyota camery and it felt like an elephant standing on a jack hammer was hitting my chest and I would like to create the same effect in my car.View attachment 26555823 Any help would be much appreaciated! Thanks!

A ported box will play flat with more out put then seal IF it's designed to. You don't want to put those in sealed.

No you can't add a port to sealed.

What are you doing for alternator? I hope it's not stock.

I haven't thougt about the alternator. The system won't be turned up all the way a lot so I was hoping the extra batteries would do the trick. Also, do you know how loud that setup might be in terms of DB? I don't know what 100 or 150 db is supposed to sound like.

Those subs would do wonders in a good designed ported enclosure.

Plenty of youtube vids on those subs. IN fact, 2 10's same brand doing hairtricks. Very impressive.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm paying $1200 for a custom box install, amp kits and all the wiring. I saw the YouTube videos with the hair tricks, window flex and panel flex which was really impressive to me with just 2 12"s. What's a good way to mount the box? The shop manager suggested having the subs firing into the cab of the car instead of towards the taillights, then walking it off and sealing it. He said this way will eliminate the reverb from the trunk making them sound clearer, but it's an extra $600. What do you guys think?

OMG please don't....1200 is waaaaaaaayyyy too much

@LosIsATool get in here

I don't know anything about what it should cost. Why is it too expensive? It will be a custom built box built to specs into the trunk and non removable. The price includes all the wire and wiring, fuses ect

You must have $$ to burn then. I've been into the car audio game a long time. I can sniff out deals, rip offs, etc. So I know when something doesn't sound right. I know shops are around that need to make $$ but not gouge the customer and stiff them with outragous prices for a custom built enclosure and some wiring done. I can do that for ya for 1/2 the dam price. The shop labor is what gets ya.

I know a few guys in Ohio. Lemme see if I can contact one of them see if they can help you out.

Here's a breakdown of what they're charging me:

Sub box: parts 150, labor $250

2 battery labor, $100

2 0/2 OFC kit moistrd: parts, $400 labor 300

The fist 2 Orion's I bought were 2 ohm and weren't comparable with the AP amps. He found another shop that sold me 2 more brand new 4 ohm HCCAs that the guy had for a year and didn't come with a warrenty for $325 a piece so I could break even with shipping costs sending the the originals back to Amazon.
