Alpine Type R effeciency

I bought to 10"'s. I noticed in the manual that these have a very low sensitivity (83db.) Are they worth installing are should I exchange for something that will be louder like infinity perfects. My amp powering these is a Pheonix Gold Octane R 15.0 1000 watt into 2ohm RMS.

Sensitivity does not determine overall output.

Keep them. Install them. Smile. Be happy.

FYI: Infinity rates their sensitivity in a very, very unorthidox manor, which is why their sensitivity figures look so high. In reality, the Perfects are only around 88db, not the "rated" 94db. Not that it's something you should really base your decision off of anyways......

That amp has more than enough power for those two Alpine's. That's all that is important.

the 05's are better than the 04's, i got two of the 04's and they sound incredible even with only 250 watts on each. get em and throw em in a ported box. u wont be dissapointed.

I agree 100% with squeak...never really pay attention to sensitivity.......
