Aw1208t 1500 Rms??

True some bahns can take a beating, But most problems I know of have been overpowering issues. Granted some may have been user error. I try to stay away from the Bahn.

No clue on that exact model though...

well i got these for about 100 each give or take a few, great deal i may add, umm i was gonna put about 1500 RMS to each but for cost reasons would u recomend a drop to about 1000 RMS. would there be any downfalls in performance of SPL or should i just through out the cash and get her to 1500?

lol, Well they are Audiobahns, so even with 500rms they should be loud. They wont sound good, but they should be loud. Make a nice box for them, and it should be fine. Also, if you are planning on running a 2000w amp, are you ready to get a HO altenator as well? What amp are you going to get?

i know that their crappy natural series and the lower model subs cant take their rms rated power.

but their higher end stuff takes it nicely.

not too sure where this sub is in the audiobahn lineup, but 1000rms should be plenty for it to get loud.

The AW128t is the highest of the flame compression series, the only sub that audiobahn makes that has a higher power rating then this one is the IMMORTAL so i would say this should be pretty high end, i think anyway....about the alternator thing yea im planning on grabbing one, with 1 stock and one yellow top batteries if i can grab them. Amp still deciding, i have a XX Colosuss comming via UPS but the **** thing only fits in one spot on my car, looks cool in that spot but dosnt leave much room for any other ideas (3200 RMS BTW). Second idea was to get a US AMP that pumps the 2000 RMS since i herd there stuff is underrated i might be getting almost full potential, but i need one that can be wired in 2 Ohm mono since thats what my subs are... Havnt checkd yet but my buddy told me they do have one and i got a dealer who can get me US AMPS for cheap

yeh i wouldnt send that sub much more than 1000 rms MAXIMUM 1500 if the gains were set with a DMM. I had the 1206t and got it wangin off of only 600 rms and the 1208 isnt much difference except for like +500 rms rating

its an ok sub i used to run aw1206t 1200rms. but becare full with the Gain.

is loud but lack of sq. Please dont go sealed. ! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

one powerfull alternator when i get it

Feel free to fill in the bass amp lol

Viper 2500..........Puts its power out at 2 ohms, like you need, and will give you close enough to the 1500 rating on each....

Or a pair of ED 9.1s......strap them *****es

Like they all said... Yes that series can take the rated power.. But they do lack SQ for the most part... unless you design the box more toward SQ and by the time you do that you have severely degraded the loudness of them. A Colossus could do the trick or the Viper may do the trick cuz i think they are dual 2 ohm subs if i remmeber correctly. I would however be careful because if it is as hot as it is there as it is here your subs will al ready be very hot and it won't take much to push them over the edge. You really do not need that much power for them.. you will probably reach major distortion before sending that much power to them anyway.. that and you won't be running that much power to them constant. In the right box you can send 500w to each and they will still be retardedly loud with respectable SQ.
