Hey fellas,I just wanted a little advice on my setup.I have some kicker comps here are the specs:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8747_Kicker+07DC122.html

and a JL audio 500/1 amp,is this amp to powerful for these subs?If not what the best way to get the best sound(bass) out of these subs without blowing them?

That should work out alright, you could give the subs a little more power than that though.

Edit: nevermind, i misread the sub specs. that amp will be okay, but you'll just have to set your gains low.

Really?The subs are 300RMS combined I think and the amp is a mono block 500RMS that's not too much?

im not a kicker fan but im not gona flame you over it. you can use that amp just find the hardest hiting song you have and set the amp where the subs are geting all they can take but not over running them. to big of an amp just means you will have cleaner power and work the amp less. you just wont have to use all the power of the amp keep it turned down so it dont over run them.

i have run a 900watt rms amp to 2 12"s that could only take 200 ech the amp was just turned way down
