Adjusting my amp to allow my sub to hit lows better

also to chime in on music quality.. i right click the music file and go to properties, then details, and if its not 320kbps i dont put it on.. thats the best quality of mp3 u can get i believe

no 43-50 are low notes but i dont think its the start of the low notes

at :5 it starts off low then again at 18 then at 30 and 43

i'm thinking that just because 43 might be where the lowest note begins that it should

play harder and louder....hmm not necessarily it all comes down to how the song is recorded

and maybe that frequency wasnt recorded to be the loudest

i heard that 320 is almost the same as like 192 though. It's not a noticable difference. The funny thing is, i think my type r's can hit harder as well on the real low parts, but i also use burned files. So maybe a real cd help out alot? I think your EQ curve is set wrong possibly though.

no not the same songs,on the first one that slamms there are several, one being TOUCH IT (remix) by busta rhymes and several more different ones from the past.the newer one has songs like TIPPIN ON FOFO..and some from the movie sound track i'm bout it with different artists

starting at :43 in white girl my bass is almost non-existent.. and im pretty sure thats where the bass gets the lowest..

i set my HU to allow low frequencies but it still isnt doing anything.. my sub should be hitting the lows i dont understand why it isnt.. ive tried 4 songs and it just doesnt pick it up.

-if you're using anything less the 3/4" thick wood then that could be a problem

-check for air leaks around your box as well...how? a lil soap water around the corners

-also i would focus on the box design...too me 3.5cubes for a 15" is a little to the low side

please someone correct me if im wrong

i hope not //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.. thats worst case scenario
no.. worst case scenario is your sub or amp is ****ed. box is a cheap fix.. 100 bucks.. and you get a new nice box.. it sucks if you build it and it doesn't help though

3.5 cubes isn't bad if thats after displacement.. I have 2 12's in a 4cube after displacement..

well, when i used to run my type r in a small pre fab box (1 cf) i used to get the same thing when listening to white girl. Once i put it in a bigger box it did better, also, you need to look in your manual how to adjust the lows and the EQ curves on you head unit. If you have the lows down it will decrease your 45 htz range alot. An i mean, ALOT. Don't freak out just yet?

And how much power are you feeding them? Find your manual to the head unit to.
