Adjusting my amp to allow my sub to hit lows better

Turn the subsonic all the way down or off. Make sure your box really is tuned right. make sure your non fader controls the sub, if not you could have the rcas plugged into the rear output by accident? idk

What has happened is that you have done what I did once....I attempted to try to adjust my amp.If you are not a installer with a GOOD ear and know what happens when one makes an adjustment IE. you try to get more bass by turning adjustments you really know nothing about. Then you turn it up and it sounds "funny",then you figure you will try to turn some more screws to repair what you have now, and have no idea what you have done.I 'm sure this is what you have done. Before I bought my PDX's,w6's and type 'R's,I thought that I would try to 'RE-ADJUST' my amps after my installer spent a good 1/2 an hour or so making it perfect,I figured that I knew more about electronics than he did, after all,I build similar boards. The adjustments on amps are merely potentiometers anyway.............I made my system sound terrible!!!It was fine to begin with..I just wasn't used to it yet or learned that 1/2 of the problems is that when people 'BURN' a CD from another doesn't guarantee a perfect reproduction.Out of 120 or so CD's,I only have a handfull that really do my system justice[**** near perfect]they will blow your mind. Now,I let my pro installer set my amps,I don't fool with them,I have my remote bass adjust knob, sep. bass and treble and of course good old Volume! With your amps set correctly ,that's all you need!!Good Luck..Alpine50...............Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!

everything is set fine man.. the only thing i messed with was the gain.. and then i messed with subsonic when i heard it wasnt hitting lows.. the higher parts of white girl blow the shit outta my car.. it just seems my sub doesnt pick up the lows.. its gotta be a HU setting or somethin

starting at :42-:43.. is that the low part of white girl? or is the low part at :05?

go buy the real cd and try again.burning music off the net sucks in reproduction.sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont.especially illegaly downloading, not sayin that YOU are, just sayin.even on lows i cant hear,i can feel.

k so you're running a 15" sub with 3.5 cubes? i personally don't feel too comfortable with that much volume...not sure what the pros might suggest but i would be playing with around 3.5-5 cubes

not sure if checking the phase control might have an effect make sure its either at 180 or 0 degrees

i got two songs with great lows that i can recommend if they dont bang the shit out of you're car..something is seriously wrong

-paul wall ft J.R Writer-That's a bet

do you really think it makes that big of a difference in bass output. I have never listened to a real rap cd in my car and i was wondering if it would be worth it to uy one. I don't know anyone who has any good rap cd's either, only burned ones.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

can u look up a couple posts and watch that vid i posted.. and tell me what the low part of that song is? i might be confused as to what the low parts of the songs are..

im having a similar problem except my subs hit lows nice RF 10' p3's in a seal'd box. but once i hit around 55 htz and up they almost cut out and get quiet they hit, just not loud :/

at 5 seconds it sounded just fine at 18 seconds it sounded a lil faint...havent heard the sound in a while and its possible that its normal...once again at 30 seconds that part sounded good

the vid cant do much justice but the rattle your getting tells me you are hitting the lows

what density wood are you using? that could be the same problem i had with my old subs

it depends on the software.i have a show off cd that was burned from a friend of mine, and that shit slamms.i allso have another cd from a different software that was burned, but i cant listen to it cause it totally sounds like shit even with the bass at -7.i would really love to listen to it.i refuse though because how bad it really sounds.so the op might just have a bad downloaded version.

i'm a lil lost now...are we talking about a single 15" sub here or 2 12s RE SE?
thats not me.. i was just wondering what part of white girl is the low part.. i thought the low part started at :43... my car slams during the parts that his suv slams also.. but i was under the impression that :43 was the start of the low notes of the song.. am i wrong?

what songs were on both of the cd's? Were they the same songs on both cd's?
