ipod touch on dvd player?

I just got a ipod touch and want to play the videos on my indash kenwood dvd player and home tv. Does the fm transmiiter sound just as good as the direct plug in? Also, what accessory do I need to play videos on my home tv?

im sure your Kenwood has some way to directly connect your ipod to it.
