Well, I have my car - 1996 Infiniti G20, standard premium factory sound system.
Which is only premium as long as you compare it to other stock factory systems from that year.
Anyways - my problem here is wiring up a new HU. The car, as far as I can tell, has amplifiers for the back two speakers (I think?), but none for the front two. It has tweeter mounts, but I'm unsure as to whether tweeters are actually located in there.
My objective here is two run my back two speakers off two channels of a 4 way, and bridge the second two channels to run a subwoofer. I have reason for amp'ing the back, too - namely, the front stage sucks, and I can't upgrade them. Don't ask.
I can't find an accurate wiring diagram for the car, however, to wire up my HU to where I can still use the factory amplifiers - I would need to use the pre-outs, afaik, and that's typically run from RCA cables off of aftermarket HU's.
I also can't find information on whether I have a front and rear amp, or two rear amps - the wiring back on it confused me a bit - too much running together at one time, and the car is a pain in the butt to get around to see the wires.
If someone could help me out here... I've checked a few diagrams, but all were inaccurate.
I know the factory system, at the very least, consists of two amplifiers, 4x6 fronts, and 6.75" rears.
Also, if it's possible to do this without a wiring harness - that'd be extremely helpful. I have the sauder and crimps to make good connections - but it'd save me some money here.
