Odds are your probably not teaching anyone anything. I can see you 2 years from now still posting the same thing, and same questions being asked. Its just the way it is.I'd rather teach him how to fish than to just give him a damn fillet.
I haven't yet, too busy with school and hw. I will likely look at the ID forum tonight and maybe call ID to get a quick answer.I know that I have not been around this forum long (less than 15 posts) but I will say this. He is looking for a simple answer to his questions. Coincidentally enough so am I, I have been considering purchasing one of these head units (I searched for 880prs) and this thread came up. I was hoping to find some tuning and setting guides, to see how in depth they were.
In the first few pages, there was a lot of help, but bashing people that asks questions don't help people lookin for answers.
O.P: Did you find anything about your ID's and xover points yet?
From what I have read, and what I have experienced having a couple of component sets and then going active, overall running active is cleaner and louder than passive setup. Even if you dont really know 100% what you are doing, if you know the basics it will sound better, and get louder without the "strain' most people have when they try and crank it.Really? Is this common when going active? I didn't think passives were so inefficient that there'd be a gain in output. If so, how much volume is gained?
