Active with an 880.....help

A flat response is the ultimate goal in accurate music reproduction.
Not hating everyone has their own goals, and i can see how flat can sound worse than powerful but i would take a personally tuned eq over a factory preset anyday.
Oh I agree, I am still relatively new with running active. I know probably about 80% of it, so what is the best route to go? start at flat and tune it yourself?

cutting spikes > boosting dips
why, dips may be caused by cancellations, which an eq can't fix.

/spoonfeed of the day.
Its nice how you think you "spoon feed" people. If you don't like people who genuinely like to learn information in this hobby, then why post in their threads?

people who genuinely like to learn info in this hobby will go out and search for it, not sit back and make threads about something that has surely been discussed about, probably plenty of times before. they would also RTFM

I spend alot of time searching on this forum and DIYMA on a weekly, and sometimes daily basis(well lately). Sometimes people just need reassurance on what they have read, or if they have read the manual and dont understand certain things. It has taken me alot of SEARCHING and ASKING AROUND. If you dont like it, then dont post in the thread. Simple enough?

RTFM

simple enough?

Okay I can understand that. But cut the guy a little slack man. Just simply answer his question, you can answer it in less than 20 seconds. Or dont answer the question.. but why leave a smart *** remark?
I'd rather teach him how to fish than to just give him a damn fillet.
