i appologize for the leave, been selling my house. but now i'm ready to get back on this problem before i try selling. The box measures 39w, 19h, 22d. I'm have to measure the port size after work, but i'm thinking about just shoving a blanket in there for now. Problem being i have to take the back seat out of my car to get the box out. Do you think this will help?
If you start shoving wood in there to make it smaller, you'd have to cut the port shorter or else you'll have much lower tuning. Honestly out of everyone owning the hds200s you are the only that has had problems with it. All these haters just trashing on subs they think is too cheap. You'll see they would only recommend something in the 250$ + range

If your subs seem like they are slow that means you need Time Alignment a feature in sound quality based head units. A good head unit makes the biggest difference because it'll make the subs and speakers match up at the same speed with the time alignment feature.

Another thing that happens is if your box is way too far away from the back of the trunk. Have it 4-6 inches way from your trunk lid to avoid cancellation. IF you want an even better change, Fold down your rear seats and wall seal the box comletely off from the trunk. Like this

If its not reaching higher bass guitar notes on rock and metal then raise your low pass filter on head unit and amp.

My amp is set as so, level straight up and down between 6v and 0.2v, phase is at 0, boost is at 0, sub sonic is at 35, and low pass is at 80. my box is literally side to side, top to bottom in the trunk with about 4 inches from the trunk lid to the face of the subs. i talked to boomsday and he suggested i don't turn them around.

you never know, just try, its one of the easiest things to do, every application is different better to try and confirm, you have nothing to lose. Did you set your gains using the Digital multi-meter method or are you still just guessing?

Nah bruh. Plenty of sub-$200 drivers that are worth it. And low pass is 80, definitely high enough.

I had well over$260 in just wire. Anyway OP it sounds like your filters are jacked along with the gain. Also I would never go back to that "shop".
That question was not for you. But what did you have ? I just keep hearing my wire my wire. $$$$$$$ what kinda wire you have/had.

Got any other gems like that? 'Tard!

I'm fine with it. I've cheaped out before and got cheap results. I perfer not to anymore.I enjoyed the fact I would win SQ comps, win SPL comps and demo all day without a care. Thats what I paid for
So. What's the advantages over welding wire ? It's funny I also used to win first place is SS1-2 NW back in the day with welding wire runs lol. So let's hear it. Oh yeah still waiting to hear about that monster engine build that you did before haha. You crack me up. I'll be waiting on a google response.
