A little help..

Just wondering if this sounds about right. Im running 2 JL audio 10 inch subs which are 10W3 DVC 6ohm subs. I wired them in parallel in order to recieve 1 ohm total from them . When i checked with a multimeter it read 1.8 ohms... is that too high or good? Also the subs are 300w RMS each but have a peak power of 600w each. Im running them off of a 1000w @1 ohm highfonics Mono amp. Do i need to touch the settings on that at all before i hook it up? I also noticed that on my head unit i dont have a remote wire port although on the aftermarket HU harness it has a wire in the HARNESS labeled remote 12+. Do i need to splice into that?

your subs are wired to 1.5 ohms two 6ohm subs wired in parallel gives you 1.5 6ohms 6ohms =3 3ohms 3ohms =1.5most hifi amps dont do rated so if gains backed off you should be good do you have a aftermarket headunit?

Yeah its a JVC headunit. I understand the parallel theory. I just wanted to know was 1.8 ohms a little on the high side? Also which knob is gain? I dont see that on my amp. I see something labeled "level" which looks like it controls voltage or something

most subs read a little higher on ohms its fine the level is your gain check sticky how to set gains with a DMM and yes 12remote is your remote turn on that turns amp on and off hope that helps
