should take the power equally as well..but does it matter between the 10" and the 15"? or is the cone just bigger? i probably dont know what im talking about.
Gain is not a volume knob, read the tutorial stickied in the amp section, I hope this guy does not set up his buddies systems.I have a 12"type r with the same rms rateing as the 10". I have the kicker 750.1 amp with a birthsheet of 870watt rms which I am feeding my type r and have no problems what so ever. So gain setting on your amp can easily be turned full. Like others said just watch your volume control and listen for distortion or smell.
The 10's and 12's have the same motor/rating of 500W and are there's only a $20 or so difference in price. The 15's cost a bit more and are rated for 750W.the 15" r's will take more power than the 12's and the 12's will take more power than the 10's.
they all use different motors/coils. IIRC the 15's use a 3" coil while the 10's/12's use a 2.5" coil.
There is no point to feeding one of the 10" woofers more than 800 watts in a daily application.
Maybe you're right, but I don't see the magnet size listed on their site. I also thought that the coils for the 10's and 12's are 2in and the 15's are 2.5in?the 10's and 12's don't share motors.IIRC the 12's is 20 oz larger... they do share the same power rating.
