A few questions from a beginner

Hey, everyone. As stated in the title, I am new to the car audio scene. I plan on building my complete system very soon and would very much appreciate any comments/suggestions towards my setup plan:

Car: 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier

Replacement HU: Clarion DXZ665MP

Replacement Door Speakers: Polk Audio db6500 6-1/2 comp

Powered by: Profile AP600 100w x 2

Subs: 2 Audiobahn AW1200V 12" DVC 700w RMS

Now for the questions....first off, which amp would be a good match for the subs? I've only browsed Crutchfield so far and nothing stood out. Also, I want my car to sound like I'm at a live concert (metal to be more specific, bands such as Chimaira, Dope, and Bleed the Sky as examples if anyone has seen them) so basically I want to feel the kick of the bass drum but still have definition in the bass. I would think an enclosed box is right since bass cabs are sealed.

For now I am leaving the stock rear speakers, but should I bother upgrading them? Subs will cover the bass which makes them almost useless unless the subs are off?

With box placement...would aiming front with the back seat down improve quality or SPL? Just curious since the seat would be down and I've heard nothing about that.

Installment is not a problem for me at all. I may be new to car audio but electronics and cars are nothing new to me. That's all I can think of for now, thanks in advanced.

Add an amplifier to the Polks. You will not get the best out of them off head unit power, particularly in the midbass. Also consider adding some sound deadening to the doors. It's hard to get good sound quality out of a system if the mids and highs are struggling to keep up with the subs.

I haven't heard the Audiobahns. While I have always been happy running sealed enclosures, many subs really shine in ported enclosures. A bass guitar plays down to around 40 hz but there are many elements in the music that go lower than that. It all depends on the space you have available and what the sub is capable of. I have a single 8" sub that has a nice punch on the kicks, but I'm old so that may not mean a whole lot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif .
