A couple ?'s about the Fi Q I had installed.

Seats fold down, plus I have had my head right next too it and still cant figure it out. Actually sounds cleaner when I am closer. It might be the box is not deep enough. Is 10deep, so that is only allowing me 3 inches, which should be enough. I hope.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
maybe that means your further away from the source of the rattle? make the system rattle and go to the trunk and see if its something in there?

might be the 'torsion rods' ?? that hold the trunk lid up rattling? or the rear shelf itself.

did you leave your cell phone on the roof after the vidio?

i noticed a flapping sound while showing my subs to someone last night. turned out it was my rear view, i knew it wasnt subs, they werent even halfway up

the rear view was facing all the way down and just shaking badly right there and my school parkin pass was slapping against it.

there isnt anything wrong with a 'foam in' i have my subs facing forwards, but not foamed in, and it sounds great. i shut down 2 15's the other day and 2 memphis 12 m3's but mine is ported.

Well I went to the shop yesterday afternoon and I dont know why I did, cause all it did was futher frustrate the hell out of me. The guy that owns the shop, who thinks he knows everything about everything was telling me I had the box built to specs.(Yep, you know cause you built it.....right?) Thing that gets me is he makes the plans, then he calls this one guy who builds nothing but boxes all day. Whatever...... So I am telling him, this is the worst setup I have ever heard. Something is wrong with the box! He pushes on the cone, comes back slow. Tests the amp on the DMM and is reading one ohm which is perfect, adjusts certain things on my crossover and deck and it still sounds like shit. So he mentions about switching out the sub to a memphis Mojo sub to compare in the boxc I just had built since it takes the recommend airspace sealed up. (It does, I seen it in the book, which surprised me) Then I had to make a god dam appointment to just switch out woofers which would take what? 15 mins or something? So I made an appointment for Tuesday, cause thats when he can fit me in, lol! So I am about to leave and I tell him, listen dude, you need to make this right. I just dumped a shit ton of money(well to me) in this and I am not happy. He says, I agree with you, it does sound like shit!!!! I MEAN WTF MOTHERPHUCKER!!! THEN MAKE IT RIGHT! Dude is acting like I hooked it up in his shop or something. So in the end, the sub still sounds horrible and he thinks its a faulty sub more than it being the box. If his sub sounds like shit (Which I will watch and see if they hook anything else up) then I will have to contact Fi. I just cant see it being that. It was shipped in perfect shape. If it isnt the box, then I am thinking I just got a faulty sub......................unless I am just too judgemental when it comes to subs. Thing is most everything is turned half way down or almost all the way down. Still can hear what sounds like bottoming out even though Fi says it cant. Something is drastically wrong is all I know.

I hate this shit!!!! I am not trying to shit on Fi as they seem like a bunch of good guys. I am trying to straighten this out. Cause I know pretty much everyone else loves their subs. So hopefully its the box or else a faulty sub.

Thanks for everyone that helped.

i have my ssd 15's in 2 cubes or less per sub in a wall sealed and it get's down and slams, i wish you lived closer man, sounds like that shop is really focking yuo around

Yes, yes they are. I will never use them again as I might just do the install myself. Thing is I have two herniated dics in my back and cant bend over too much for more than 5 mins at a time before my back basically locks up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I know for a fact I could do better job than this myself. Sucks shops have to fawk around customers. No wonder the audio bussiness's around here are dying out.

dude pull it out, play a low hz tone and just see what it does.....AT LOW VOLUME!

if its hitting something u will know. u can look at it while its playing. Is the sub moving a shit ton? if it is, i do bet the cone is hitting the spider landing.

Yes the sub is moving pretty good. So your saying pull it out and free air it at a low volume?

yes. turn your gains WAY DOWN too. if your not comfy doing this...MAKE the shop do it. They did the install....THEY can do the testing.

also, tell them you want to be where they are when ANY testing of equipment is done.
