WTF are you talking about? There are shit ton of cars that do sealed foam in's and love them. I loved mine from a few years ago. Was doing over 140dbs on tl on 2 12" Kove z series woofers.and a sub in a sealed box facing the front probably isnt going to be the best.
Thanks for that bit of info. If I recall correctly is a good way to tell with a leaky box if I push on the sub and it comes back real fast that is good or bad? Or if it comes back slow? I cant recall. I ususally never have problems with this type of situation. Thanks.Sounds like there's a leak in the box somewhere...it can't bottom out, the coil wont physically reach the backplate on the 12's
However the cone will reach the spider landing...and if its in a leaky sealed box with 900 watts, its a good possbility that thats what its doing...
Dude, that could just be it and I will be so pissed if it is. He did mention when I come back that he would throw in a different woofer and see how that sounds to compare. It was a memphis mojo though which if recall takes a lot more airspace compared to the Q sealed? So I dont know. If all else fails I just might sell it and get out of the car audio thing for a while. Shit is pissing me off.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gifa few years ago a 140 on the old tl is about a 135 now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
also my guess would be the installer didnt install the sub to its 100 % potential because he would rather tell u that sub is a piece of shit and sell u one of his subs.... just how the industry is
