A couple ?'s about the Fi Q I had installed.

So, did they install another amp at the same time? Did you allready have the amp installed? What I am getting at is are the RCA's hooked up right? I know of a guy that switched his RCA's up and his system sounded like ***. He had the mids and the sub channels reversed.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Not sure what the last few posts are about, but whatever. I took it too my parents house the other night (Since they have the heated garage and all) and took out the sub and everything seemed to be hooked up right. I pushed on the cone when it was still in the box and came back slow, which if I recall correctly is a good sign of no leaks in the box. Then I free aired it on low volume on some test tones and I could actually hear what sounds like to be bottoming out. Almost looks like the cone part is hitting the spider part. I am having a friend that knows more about speakers coming over Friday to see what it is excatly. He actually has a friend that installed 2 Fi X's and they sound great. So I will see what he says. Gonna have him put in one of his d2 memphis sub in there and see how that sounds. Just updating everyone.

Again thanx for all the help. Sucks that this is happening.

Also I know Fi has a website, but I rarely go there and most of you visit here anyway.

Well I guess I will tell my little story here, lol! I finally got it to sound very loud and good for the most part. Still sounds like something is bottoming out to me, but isnt as bad. What I did...........................Insert mad face!!! I spent like 500 bucks getting a foam in done at a local shop. Well lets just say I tried everything I could keeping it that way as it looked TITS! Well I need my sound more than looks. So I took the foam in out and I pulled on the one side and the other side fell down, lol! Real good foam in there boys! I mean I could have done better myself honestly. I pretty much wasted about 150 bucks or so as the rest came out good. So I faced the woofer back and this sounded better for the most part. I didnt notice the bottoming out sound as much. So I just installed the used Pioneer Premier 880 the other day(Thanks Zachzchw) and viola!!!! It sounds so much better. I mean it took me like a hour to set up the deck, but man I couldnt be happier with how it is sounding now. Rap hits the lows like crazy and the Rock has just the right amount of punchiness to it. I still have that sound, but seems to have fainted some with the adjustments I made to the deck. (Still wondering if I should send the sub back or not now) So overall I went from 2 12 Alpine R's off the 1000rms old school Lanzar amp to the 1 Fi Q 12 and it is just as loud to ear and sounds a shit ton better. So would like to thank all the people for the help. Much Love!
