I believe the woofers are firing into the cabin and the trunk is sealed off with expanding foam...only thing I can think.

i would try sending it a 20hz test tone at full volume free air. gains all the way of course. hopefully when you look at it the sub will slap you for getting a great sub and putting it in a sub par install

Well not a bunch of people know about Fi over here. They were all like what is Fi? I took them to the website and said looks like a very nice sub overall. I said yeah that is why I got it. They took the deminsions and built a box and overall the install looks pretty sweet. Just dont sound as good as it looks.

I am glad with my purchase of the FI Q's. **** well more than happy with the prices their going for. But than again I did the install myself and made sure everything was right. Like everyone else said, i think the shop is trying to rip u off.
