96 Caravan Build

according to there t/l.. peaking in car at 57hz, which is off from what I figured. I did the 42 at 51hz, which is were it should be, thinking he meant to tell me 51 and not 57.

Ended up with 1-15 and a smaller box. This is mainly for spl, but sounds ok with normal music.

Let the flames go with what you think it did. 1-L5 15 on 2-dbdrive 1200.1's strapped. Sub is wired to 1ohm to the strapped pair.

No worries on the distro block, it is fine really. prop end up getting a reducer and running straight 1/0 to the amps anyways.
Yeah higher tuneing will get the mic, but don't care to listen to it daily that way. And not a fan of haveing interchangeable ports. take out, put in,take out, put in. To much to do when I am just in it for fun really.

the tuneing now is high enough, but still plays the lows well. listen to more rock and alternative style music then anything. Classical is in ther, and plays that fine.
isnt that less work then building another box and replacing everything?

nice equipment but **** that van is dirty man, clean it up!

I found that if you hold the rear windows, you lose on the mic. Interesting, but true.

I didn't build a new box actually, this is the old box only cut in half and downsized. So no money was involved in the making.

Van is dirty yes, but when you have a 5yr old at times, a 2yr old all the time and a 6month old. It gets a little dirty. Not to mention the wife. LOL

Ok the van did a 145 and change on the dash and 147 and change in the kick with this setup. Kick was with window open only, driver door open didn't change the reading.

Yep sounds about right. I found that cracking the driverside window about 6 to 8 inches yeilds the most gain at the dash and the kick. Thats only with a single 15 or smaller in that off axis setup. Once you go up bigger on cone area. It changes if you open the driver side door.

I have broken both back window actuators about 5 times. Now i have them Bolted closed.

Not to mention the front seal on the windshield had to be replaced.

1 more thing you may want to try.

Take that box and turn it so that the vent is about 7 inches away from the passenger side wall in the back. There is a Rear Blower in that van so that corner is flat. Seal off the opening there and run it again.

Where are the videos??

I tried the sie method in the van, actually lost on the mic.

Both my actuators are still good, thankfully. What are you doing on the meter to break them ? One thing I worry about on those **** windows.

Only thing on my front window that is growing, is the crack that was there when I bought it. may replace it, but not sure how that would effect the mic. May do it soon tho, since the crack is over halfway to the other side of the van now.

Oh. Vid's will be up after this weekend, or more pics of the comp. Have to see how my camera takes movies during the daytime. Night time it sucks, even with light.

It was 152.2 on 4 AQ C3 10's @ 41 Cycles Sealed at the Dash.

I got more out of that setup before i pulled it out and switched.

The Btl's are a different story. I dont think anything in this vehicle will last to much longer.

One thing is your going to need to watch the doors as well. They have a few welds that connect the top part of the piller to the bottom part. They are broke now. They are located on the inside next to the lock.

Went to a comp today. With the single box and meter on dash and driver window open. Did a 143.8 first run, then fun run did a 145.1. Also did a legal record run. 144.7 with a 144.6 to back it up.

Amps clamped anywhere from 1600 to over 1700 each run.
