87 Safari- a little bass

So I get em in today, hook one up, play it for about 30 seconds, and it goes into protect... Unhook everything, hook it back up, check ohm load, power, multi-meter everything---- Nothing!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Hook the 2nd one up, and it does the same **** thing, at a little over 1/2 way up on the amp gain, no bass boost.. Nothing on deck is turned up..

All subs sit at 1.2 ohms at the amp, so im not sure what the hell happened....

Send em to ARC for repair now:mad:

Ahhhh the fun of it all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But it stays in protect, why would this be?

I figured a fried channel

Thats sucks, but im doubtin its a voltage issue here....
idk maybe something rattled loose on shipping...had UPS crack a magnet in half and chip off parts of it and BEND the speaker basket about an inch in a couple areas...just to give you an idea of how they treat some things
