if i remember right they tested one head to head with an RE 8 in the "great 8 challnge" and im pretty sure the TB 8 came out on top

u think 2 of those in a small ported box with 300 watt would out hit and sound better then 2 10 jensens in a sealed box with 200watts. my GF dad needs to upgrade soon

i thought a low q pointed towards sealed?

As a general guideline, Qts of 0.4 or below indicates a transducer well suited to a vented enclosure.

Grr, at that price I was gunna go ahead and get these instead of the Memphis MClass 8"s I want, but I don't have room for ported!

Would this be louder, just as far as opinions go, if I put it in a properly sized and ported box. Than my Lightning Audio Bolt Series 12" In a Sealed box? I'd be feeding the Tang Band 250w and I feed the LA right now 100w. I am thinking for 35$ I can't go wrong and this isn't like some bargain basement sub either is it? It's actually a fairly decent one? What about 2?

im sure 2 ported would be louder then 1 12 sealed. 2 8 have more surface are then a 10 but less the a 12. these 8s probaly have more Xmax, and your would be feedin more watts as well. basicly it would be a bit louder. however, it is posable that the 12 may extend lower
