8" Sub Recommendations

I'm in the market for a nice 8" sub due to space constraints. I want the most possible bass (understand its limited compared to larger drivers) while maintaining high SQ. I've narrowed my search to the subs listed below. Please post up your recommendation and/or experience with following:

Image Dynamics ID D4 v.3

Resonant Engineering RE8

Elemental Designs 9Kv.2

I'm not interested in JL or Kicker or anything else for that matter. Thanks

How high of SQ are you wanting?

Digital Designs 1508 and RL-i are both mean little 8" woofers

I looked at both of those subs, however they are a little to deep to mount in my enclosure. Thanks for the recommendation, though.

i'm also looking for a sub and have about 4.75 inches of space.

i'm looking at eD 9kv.2, critical mass ss82 (with a large spacer) and still looking.

That is about how much space I've got as well. I'll look into the critical mass driver. How did you decide on the ED? Have you heard one?

yeah actually my coworker bought one for 55 shipped and put it in a super small box. he's playing it with a us acoustics 2080 amp powering 140 watts to each voice coil.

decent sound just not that loud. I have a planet audio 800d 1 ohm 800 watt stable amp i want to keep using. i'll just set the gain real low.
