I dunno what it would do with a non aluminum sub on the market today, but back in the day none of the Kevlar coned subs could do much in this box. It had to be aluminum to resonate correctly.
This box was something I whipped up in 1999 - 2000 because I could not get the GS Designs GSD12 to hit well in ported or sealed. I sat down with a sheet of wood and made the box to where I could move and tune the walls until I liked it and this is what came out of it.
23 inch long port, 14 inches high. The combination of front and rear wave was so detuned from each other it hit with full force across the spectrum. It is still my favorite box to this day. Ya gotta forgive the condition of the box, it's been through 6 yrs of hell and I've still not blown the sub. That's one way I know I got the design right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
