figuring out the resonance freq of the car??

there's 2 big issues with the so-call resonant frequency of the car..

1.. it really doesn't exist..

map a car's transfer function, and you'll see it lacks a big peak..

semi-acheoic chambers (aka car) will boost 12db/octave starting at the corner frequency of the chamber..

2. the peak frequency in the vehicle, is moreso determined by the working efficiency of the enclosure design, combined with the woofer(s), than anything else...

doing low volume sealed box testing is a waste of time....

mock up a design, build it so that you could adjust port length, and area.. and start testing... find the loudest frequency in the car, with that setup, and change one parameter, whether it be shortening the port, or increasing / decreasing port area.. and retest.. continue doing that until you find what is the most efficient..
