.5 ohm daily amps?

Looking for an amp for my two alphas that can be run safely at .5 ohms. I have the proper charging which includes HO alt, 2 runs of 0 gage, and yellow top in the rear. Thinking 4000W total will be enough for the alphas. Budget is around 500 new or used.

Two subs, and let me guess, dual 2 ohm coils?

WTF is so wrong with 2 ohms? This is like the 2nd thread in the last week where someone wants a .5 ohm stable amp.

Mmats makes one that puts out at .5, its not a 4K amp though, somewhere around 3.5k iirc.

Would power at 2 ohms work or does it have to be at .5?

So, spending less on an amp, then having to spend more to upgrade your electrical system to handle the ridiculous current draw @ a .5 ohm load. Makes sense.

Yes they are dual 2 ohm subs. I currently have two ED Nine.1s. Each sub has its own Nine.1. Reason I said .5 ohms is I'm looking to eliminate one sub amp and somehow provide more power to the subs. Thus, wiring two dual 2 ohm subs to one sub amp for a .5 ohm load. Yes, I understandthe increased current draw at .5 ohms. I feel my electrical system can handle it.

Sundown's new 3500.1 should do around 4K at 0.5Ω upon reconsidering.

Or two SAZ-2000D's strapped. Completely forgot about the new Sundown lineup...

Won't be finding anything new for that power in your budget. Maybe used if you get a great deal. But 4K at 0.5ohm without blowing up is going to be very tough on $500.

Try to find a Mojo 4kw, itll do 4000 @ .5

I seen a few go for 550 on here
