Two 8 ohm svc subs wired at 4 ohm

Don't.

Different ohm subwoofers have different TS specs. The coil winding length is different and that will also result in one coil being heavier than the other. They will never be playing "in unison". They will be seeing different power between the two even if the final ohm load is the same. You can see this if you use a modeling program to see the different phase angle and group delay.

Can it be done? Yes.
Should it be done? No.
