I was looking at some plans, and I found two, and I cant decide which one to go with. 2 Type r's in a nissan sentra powered by a hifonics bxi1600d at 1 ohm, pushing a little less then 800watts to each sub

I was looking at moe's plans, and I found this one, however it will just BARELY fit in my trunk (05 nissan sentra). Can someone recommend one of his smaller box plans for my setup? Sorry if this is an easy question, i'm a box beginner.

No, it's all about the tuning, really. See how many cubes the manufacturer reccommends your box be, and that is what you go by.

0.75-1.75 is what alpine says per sub. I dont understand though.......i know many people who have bigger boxes then 3.50 sq. ft with 2 type r's and that shit POUNDS:crap:

If you have 2 subs, and they are reccommended .75-1.75, then 3.5 would work fine. 1.75 + 1.75 = 3.5. Go with a 3.5, and your "shit will pound" as well.

That box would work for you, and you can be the one showing up all your friends that have big *** boxes by saying, "hey, I learned you don't need big mother ****in shit *** *****in sized box to hit hard"

I strongly recommend you do it yourself. Go to home depot or lowes, whatever you have over there, and buy yourself a sheet of 4x8 MDF. It's going to be around $20, give or take a few. Then, you just have them cut the wood for you, (costs around 25 cents a cut). Then you just do all the gluing and clamping. It will be much cheaper than what someone would charge you to build this box for you.

Ok, thanks. I will look at some tutorials because I am CLUELESS about this stuff. How long will it take? Approx 3 hrs? and how much money will the box cost to make?

Since it is your first time, expect it to take a day or two. You can't glue everything at once. You've got to glue one section, then add to that, then add to that, until you have the entire box built. You've got to wait for the glue to try between that time as well. Like I said, it will cost around $20 for a sheet of MDF, approx $5 for them to make all the cuts, and $5 or so in glue. You are looking at around $30, vs AT LEAST $60 plus shipping for someone to make it for you.

Your going to need 2.0-2.5ft^3 per sub to really see what they can do...3.5ft^3 for both is too small...
