4 Type R build log

nice vid you got and good build.

TypeRs do best with 1k+ thrown at them. Don't let it's power handling intimidate you. Do a search and see what kind of power these people are throwing at type Rs.

Grab yourself a 4k amplifier and throw vids up.

nonetheless, throw more vids now !!

I'll need a new alternator setup to be able to throw 4k ;D

31.8hz after displacement. And I know about the 1/0, that's getting ordered next week.

Better amp situation- I like this amp tbh, 200a worth of fuse and the subs only are a total of 2k so it matches imo
lol, 200A fuse doesn't mean shit. I could take a 50w amp and throw a 300A fuse on it, that doesn't mean it's producing anymore than the 50w. You think the company that made that amp didn't think about that? They knew if they stuck a larger than needed fuse in there, people would think it's powerful and does rated. Start swapping the fuse out with smaller ones and see how far you can get before it starts to blow them...you might be surprised. (Or better yet, throw a current clamp on it)

Box looks good though

I get what you mean, but say if I wired 12+ to the grnd wouldnt the fuses not be able to save the amp if they're too large?

I'll take a dmm to the outputs later today and vid the results or something along those lines

If you swap the power and ground inputs those fuses aren't gunna do shit, your gunna blow the hell out of that amp. Your not going to be able to measure the power of that amp with a standard DMM, you need a current clamp.

I doubt I can get ahold of a clamp, but I'll look around.
