If i run 4 gauge power cable through a 40a fuse will it blow the fuse?

Depends on how much current you're pulling. If your sound system is drawing more than 40A, then yes, it will blow. 4AWG can generally handle 120-150A.

No it does depend one the wire. Every company has different ways of making there wire. current handling depends on strand count, wire material, and thickness of the isolation. you should always check with the wire manufacturer to see what they rate there wire at.

There (sic) wire is no different from anyone elses. Their wire is rated the same or less. There. Isolation be damed.

what the wire is rated for has nothing to do with fusing under that.. the fuse will not blow if you don't pull much over it for long periods of time
