EXACTLY!

Firing them TOWARDS the cabin... TOTALLY elimated the whole purpose of "Cabin pressure".

Trust me man... rear fire them.

based on my own theories i think foward firing with trunk and cabin sealed off owns rear firing. i never got to try it both ways since it would have been impossible to put my box in without damaging the sub if was rear firing due to the depth of that box but here goes my theory anyway

I had a 15 avalance in a 3.5 ported box tuned to 28hz front firing sealed off with trunk sealed off in cabin. i now have the exact same set up amps headunit ect in a 03 celica hatchback but in a 2.5 sealed box. if i'm correct the "gain" from a ported box isn't near as high as the gain" from being in a hatchback so the setup in the celica should own the setup in the sentra and nether car is now to be a bass trap or "magical bass wagon" and it might be just as loud if not quieter than the sentra. but i have yet to do any sound deading to the celica and the box is a lil leaky since i had to break (read chisel) off some of the excess fiberglass since i didn't tape the box off like a i should (going to seal and bondo box after i get off computer and post pics once i get it wrapped in faux suede) i'll get it miced later to see if it broked the 142.5 the setup did in the sentra.

nismboy6986 - maybe i just dont get what your saying but it seems like you have too many variables. plus i dont get how this would support either foward or rear firing as the better option?

Agreed... hes just stating the fact that he likes fireing towards teh cabin... even tho he hasnt tryed rear fireing

or u can put 4 of them in a 4th orderbandpass or 2 in a 6th order bandpass
