4 Alpine Type-R 12s ported.. in a trunk?

Hey I just ordered 4 12" alpine type-r's (yes the new ones) and I want to put them in my trunk. My biggest box that I can fit in there (without building INSIDE the trunk) is 37 wide, 16 high, and 19.5 deep. I am pretty good at designing, and building boxes, but I want to fit all 4 facing my back seat, ported. Only thing I was thinking, is have 3 ( like OOO ) and slot ports at the bottom, and one facing the rear, or where its got 2 in the middle, and 1 on each side angled 45 degrees.. similar to /--\ (if you can understand that) with the 4 subs all right there. Let me know what you think. If i do it like that, how do I make the measurements correct? I always have difficulty doing that. Thanks

BTW I have a van now that i am redoing the interior in, and building a wall for the type rs, but i want them in my car until im ready for them. So this is temporary.

its not possible you can fit 2 at most...

first of all dont face them opposite directions, i would just throw in 2 for now, why dont u face them to the rear in all my tests in trunks i foun dit was louder, unless u have folddown seats

im not saying if u have folddown seats they wont be louder but its not always louder if there facing the rear, in my experience! how can my tests be wrong (being i stated in the setups i have tried)?

I had my box where VERY LITTLE air even fit between the box and outer walls, and between the top of the box and the trunk. Same box, turned around honestly made it 2-3 times louder than before. Buts that my test I guess. My backseat is also a custom loveseat and can remove the pad and lay it down. Obviously like a fold down, and louder. I always liked it better, and i thought the same thing with the facing the rear, until I tried it. But I dunno I am waiting for the type-rs to get to my house and figure it out. Thanks again. More options or ideas would be great!

those dimensions will not allow enough room for ported. I built a box for three type r's in the trunk of my civic and it is 39" wide x 16" height x 30" depth. you have enough room there to properly do two ported

1)Not enough room

2) Face them toward the trunk...

that is 5.4 cubes before any displacements... = you can do the 4 R's, but 5 cubes sealed..
