<- getting a jAy eL 21W8
So one again I'm on my quest for a budget groundpounder. I have 2 options right now and would like some input.
Option one:
TC-9 Based 15" sub with aluminum cone, Coil rated around 1200w RMS, with a progressive rolled spider. Eventually a second one would be added to the build. W
Would like to throw 2k at a pair.
Option 2:
Running 4 of these budget 15"s (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=310132322454&Category=18805&_trksid=p3907.m29&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2). Would like to throw around 1.5k at the set of 4
The box would be built to spec for both of them, Most likly using Aero's. The amp depends on the sub choice, probably Hifonics either way. What do you think will do better. I Love my lows and a hair trick is always nice. The MJ would make girls hair move but nothing amazing. I know alot of the install is an enclosure but should I go with more power thrown at the subs or more cone area?
Anyone have experiance with those subs or any powerbase subs? I have ran Powerbase 3XL comps and loved them so I'm not sure right now.
What I'm looking for in my set up is:
-Moving a nice amount of air
-Hitting low
-Meter deciently (140's)
-Musical and daily set up
Thanks Guys!
