3k watts to work with

Well I just got a nice new AP30001d, but its being a pain in the *** cause I cant run my Treo SSX at 1 ohm on it. Im probally going to go with a different sub setup. My current box is 3.5 cuft and its not a truck type box and takes up a lot of room. So what sub or subs should I be looking for that can take 3k or 1500 a peice and work well in a smaller box?

I just dont know what subs would work well in a smaller space. I know the HDC3s like a lot of room.

2 DC LVL4xl 10s would be pretty nasty.

I doubt that you'll be able to trade a big power 15 or 2 10s that would wanna trade for your woofer. Why not just adjust the gains properly and run the Treo??

Huh? I've tried adjusting the gains but when I try to crank it, it goes to protect. I just have it in 1 channel at 1500w right now.

you need to be investing in you electical if the amp goes into protect running only 1 channel at 1500 watts then trying to full tilt it at 2 ohms bridged would not be any better for the amp.

It doesnt go into protect on 1 channel @ 1500w. It only goes to protect when I crank it at 1 ohm. Id hate to invest all this money into electrical for an amp that isnt made to go to 1 ohm.

that makes no sense. is the amp bridged at 1 ohm right now or are you running it at 1 ohm off of one of the channels?

I have it at 1 ohm on 1 channel. My sub is wired to 1 ohm and I have the wires in 1 channel of the amp.

exactly what i am saying if you get a new sub and are able to finally bridge the amp at 2 ohms for 3k its gonna go into protect alot faster or blow if its already doing it on just one channel.
