So i currently have 2 sa12 in my blowthrough for my truck. I got my third sa12 yesterday so in the weekend ill make my new box. I currently have this i can make the box to be 8.5cuft ported side and around 3cuft sealed after displacement and make the port 8x21 to have 168 of port area and 10.5 deep to be tuned to 50hz. Would that work? As for my electrical i have a 220 alt with all 1/0 wire. I have a taramps smart 3k ill wire them to .66 ohms. Ill get another battery if needed.

Would wiring that Smart3K to .66 ohms give you more than 3K? I thought they were restricted to only produce 3K between 1 and 2 ohm at 12.6v? Just asking.

Detailed dyno of the Smart 3k from Williston Audio Labs. He does really good reviews and this one has information on the guts of it explained by his friend.

They produce wayyyy more at .66 ohm. Like 6500 wont be running anything close to that tho. Back to my box lol

I would worry running them out of the recommended load rating. Mainly because of their size and other people's experiences. I think Taramps are great if you treat them like the directions tell you to. Meaning voltage and ohm loads. I think people get in trouble when they stray from the recommended numbers. Over 16 volts, under 11 volts, and under rated the rated ohm loads. Then, they ***** about them being unreliable. Just my dollar. There is a coin shortage, so, I don't have two cents right now.

Again they are fine at .5 The smart chip limits current to keep them safe at .5.

Can't help you with the box. I'm not good with bandpass boxes.

Someone will chime in with some help for you hopefully.

The smart chip limits current
Not quickly enough to not see 6000+W dynamic numbers on the dyno. I think people underestimate how quickly semiconductors can fail when ran beyond their limits (hint: Faster than """smart""" circuits or """protect""" features can kick in).

nothing like the amp continually shutting off because the protection circuit works great during demos to say its fine at .5 ohms. Does it live? yes. Is it something even remotely acceptable day by day usage? hell no.

you might want to invest in an RTA or pay someone with a term lab to do a frequency response sweep in your car, build the sealed portion first. Whatever you peak at with the sealed box, you tune the box to that frequency if you want the loudest and most bandwidth out of your 4th order. No sense in blindly guessing on a time consuming build.

I have a blow through i dont know how i would just make the sealed section first without having the rest of the box build for the port to go inside the cab just to measure the frequency.

damn! taramps stepping their game up! Like even more crazier than before.
Watch the video. They actually make less per at .5 than at 1 ohm. Sweet spot seems to me would be running into 4 ohms for 2000w at 91% efficiency. There cheap enough that buying extra shouldn't be so much of an issue if you're planning this sort of build.
