I'm not sure if it's 1ohm stable or not. It's a kicker cx1200.1 ampYes, it matters. To get a final 2 ohm load from 2 DVC subs, they need to be dual 2 ohm subs. However, is the amp not 1 ohm stable? For most bang for the buck, people generally run stuff at 1 ohm.
Generally speaking, for SQ applications, running at a higher resistance should be better, however, it is also more expensive. The amp operates more efficiently at a higher resistance and has an increased damping factor. If you already have that amp, use it.Would running an amp that is 1 ohm stable be better than running this amp at 2ohms?
