i have a hifonics 1500d. i want to run a 600rms sub off of it. heres the amp ratings

4 Ohm Load - 500 x 1

2 Ohm Load - 1000 x 1

1 Ohm Load - 1500 x 1

so that means i should get a dvc4ohm sub and wire it to 2 ohms to get that 2 ohm load right? and keep the gain low of course... or can you wire a 2ohm sub to that amp

yup you can wire it for two ohms. That Hifonics amp is most likely going to be somewhat over rated anyways. But jus make sure you know how to set your gains. If you dont know go to the amp forum and look at the amp setting sticky

ya, i know how to set my gain w/my dmm. i am getting a w6v2 and i think they only come in dvc2 and dvc4 so i will have to get the 4 and wire it to a 2ohm load. thnx guys
