2nd battery install

i want to install a secong bat to my system.... right now i have a optima red top which i want to run just for my car and i have a kenetik Hc1400 series which i want to run to my system ... how will i go ahead and do that... do i run them in parrallel ...do i need to isolate the two....and will my stock alt take it right now my alt puts out 135amps...can you help me out

x2...but ill be runnin kenetik 2400 in the back instead of 1400

Just run a power wire from the + of the front battery to the + of the rear battery, and ground the rear battery in the trunk. If you want to be fancy, run power and ground from the front battery to the back. You don't necessarily need to isolate them. Your stock alt ought to be fine and dandy.
